Established in 2000 by DiVosta, this community is famous for it’s mature live oak trees, lining most streets, accented by a variety of tropical palms and lush landscaping. This is a very large and popular gated community that features numerous resort style amenities, all based from the centrally located Town Center, all with a view of the center lake.
Island Walk has 1,856 homes on 800 acres. There are a variety of home styles, from smaller, attached town homes and villas, as well as single family detached homes. The home we are offering for sale is a Carlyle, which is a detached 4 bedroom, the largest floor plan offered. Of course you may easily add a 5th bedroom by converting the formal dining room.
Within Island Walk about 200 acres of the 800 acres are composed of 30 connected lakes/ponds, framed by 5 miles of neighborhood pedestrian walkways and a lighted bridges. These ponds contain large mouth and peacock bass, bluegills, sunfish, grass carp and catfish, which draw a few fishermen - we even see residents paddling around in a canoe or kayak every now and then. Join the IW fishing club - who meet regularly and provide charter and other fishing trips for those interested. Not only are the ponds well stocked with fish, there are large populations of turtles as well as many different waterfowl. We see white egrets, blue herons, wood storks and pelicans throughout the day, out the back windows!

This short sidewalk connects to the bridge leading to the main path and only goes from the bridge to the end of Queen Elizabeth way, one home away - therefore this path has very little traffic, usually only used by the other residents of Queen Elizabeth Way and they are simply walking by.
